Thai Yoga Massage

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage (Nuad) is a healing massage that originated in India and probably came to Thailand with the teachings of Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, contemporary of the Buddha.

Thai Yoga Massage can prevent diseases, keep the body fit and stimulate self-healing powers.

The theoretical foundation of Thai massage is the theory of invisible energy lines running through the body, on which important acupressure points are located. The mindful treatment of these lines through massage can release energy blockages, restore the energy balance and thus contribute to holistic well-being. The background of this theory can also be found in yoga philosophy.

Thai Yoga Massage – Therapeutic Healing

The holistic Thai Yoga massage is performed on the floor on the clothed body. In comparison to the “classical massage”, energy points are pressed here, the body is loosened and stretched with mindful touches, while the massage recipient passively experiences exercises from Hatha Yoga.

Why should I treat myself to a Thai Yoga massage?

  • the physical and mental well-being is increased
  • the body becomes more flexible and the mind more free
  • tensions & blockades on a physical, emotional and mental level can be released
  • blood circulation is promoted, everything comes to flow
  • self-healing and regenerative powers are stimulated

I had the chance to learn from Gundi Nowak who is teaching the northern Thai style, in the sense of the teacher Asokananda.

My massage is coming from the heart and and the knowledge that everything is connected.
